Delete your account
Last updated: 26 October 2026
How to delete your account in the Masjed apps by Khalil Khalil (App Store, Google Play and the web app), and what happens to your data.
Who has an account
You have an account if you made one, with your e-mail address and a password or with Apple or Google. An account is optional: following a mosque, prayer times, athan, reading and reciting the Quran and adhkar need none. Without one, their settings and your progress stay on your phone, and removing the app removes them.
Delete it in the app
- Open the app and go to More.
- Tap your account at the top (your name or e-mail address).
- Tap Delete account and confirm: with your password, or, if you signed in with Apple or Google, by signing in with them once more.
Your account is deleted right away. The web app at masjed.website/app works the same way.
Without the app
Write to contact@softwareler.com from your account's e-mail address and ask us to delete it. We delete it within 30 days and let you know by e-mail.
What is deleted
- Your account: e-mail address, name, password hash and sign-ins.
- The mosques you own, with their timetables, pictures, texts, invitations and screens. Mosques you only help run stay with their owners.
- Your Quran progress and goals.
- Your app settings and bookmarks.
- The link between your account and Plus you bought in the App Store or on Google Play. Deleting the account does not end the subscription itself: cancel it in the store.
- Your sign-ins with Apple or Google. If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to end our app's access; you can see this in your Apple ID settings too.
What is kept, and for how long
- A security log of sign-ins and changes, with IP address, for 180 days. Then it is deleted.
- Our server's request logs, which are overwritten automatically once they reach a fixed size.
